Schizophrenia - definition

disorder characterized by a number of different psychiatric symptoms. The symptoms that will appear depend on the subtype of the disorder present. Examples of symptoms that may appear in different subtypes of schizophrenia are delusions, hallucinations, disordered thought and cognition, paranoia, reduced social expression, and lack of affect.
