Corticobulbar tract - definition

pathway involved with voluntary movement using muscles of the head, neck, and face. The corticobulbar tract travels from the cortex as part of the pyramidal system (along with the corticospinal tract), but it terminates on cranial nerve nuclei in the brainstem instead of continuing down to the spinal cord.
